Mt Patrick

Skinned up the ridge line towards mount Patrick until it opened up. Woomfing and cracking were observed. Two of the party stayed behind while one investigated the terrain below for ski routes. While moving along through the trees above the open slopes the avalanche broke loose down to the January layer 40cm down. The slab propagated 20m on either side of the skier. The avalanche ran to the base of the ridge.
