Avalanche

Not sure if you're still interested in reports from what I would assume was the March avalanche cycle, but since this is a seldom-traveled area- Nearly all of the West-facing slide paths on Jenkins slid. These slide paths slide commonly from what I can tell but there was some fairly mature timber in the runout (2-3' diameter). The slide path across the valley on the E/NE face of UN 12862 looked to take out a much larger amount of new path, including the smaller one that makes a right hand turn near the bottom of the path. While certainly not as large as what was witnessed around Aspen or Lake City, they would be impressive in any other year.
