Weather

Calm, clear and mild. Nice day in the Vallecito area.

Snowpack

The snowpack in the Vallecito area is shallower than other parts of the South San Juan zone. The most recent storm bought an estimated 4" to lower elevations and 6" to upper elevations. Below the new snow the snowpack primarily consist of what snow fell in late December. Though the Holiday slab is supportive to the weight of a snowmobile it continues to weaken from both the surface and near the ground. No cracking or collapsing observed today.

Avalanche

No avalanches observed.
