Thin high clouds overall beautiful day
Snowpack
While traveling up Mt justice we noticed surface hoar 2-4mm in size.
Avalanche
The East and north face of Mt justice was already reported. @ 11,200’ we were able to get into the crown and investigated its failure. Total height of snow was 265cm. The crown was 200cm tall failing on 3-5mm depth hoar which is showing signs of rounding. The 60cm above the failure layer was pencil hard, going up to 4 finger, and fist hardness at the top. Also of interest there were 4 other layers in the snow pack but the one at the bottom failed. 30 cm of new snow was observed over the bed surface and debris.
