On mt Seymour from 1030-1600 observed fair stability in most areas at treeline. Ski penetration was only the top 10 - 15 cm. Beneath that was a layer of dense snow (wet sleet reportedly fell early Friday night) that was very supportive to anyone on skis. Noted grauple in surface snow at higher elevations on East aspect. Only observed minor sluffing of surface snow and couldn't get anything lower to move. ....However, there was evidence of short lived cycle of natural avalanche activity that occurred in previous 12-24 hrs, including an easy size 3 that ran from the base of Depencier Bluffs through trees and onto the lake. Debris was significant and snow plastered onto uphill side of trees at least 3 m above surface!
