Had a great Christmas at the cabin (24-27)! Despite a grim holiday avi forecast we saw no signs of instability. The weather was consistently around -5 the whole trip. Wind affected in the alpine. We dug a pit on a north facing lee slope and got a result (non-planar) 30 cm down after 5 shoulder whacks. We mostly skied subalpine trees. Tried our best to trigger something on steep, open, convex, low consequence slopes with no results. Did a few laps on the big open alpine faces lookers left of the cabin.
