Weather

Clear to partly cloudy, wind strengthening with gusts to 30mph. Warmed quickly on easterly faces, due southerly stayed firmer. Overnight 1” blew away/softened by 10am.

Snowpack

Firm at 7am, great corn by 10:30 at 13k, sloppy at 11k. No noticeable instabilities. Cornices sagging, a few had failed. Lots of dust.

Avalanche

Noted slide on Monumental Peak on rocky ESE buttress around 12k. Appears to have failed on 4/17(?) dust layer that is prevelant in this area.
