Typical ice box at the Creek Near or above freezing @9500' Bluebird and calm wind

We've been observing the buried surface hoar layers discussed in previous field reports from Buff Pass but haven't had any failures until yesterday. 9100' North aspect ECPT21 Q1 @50cm on buried surface hoar. Total depths have been in the 90-125cm this week. Virtually every pit dug to ground this week has failed easily when tested and many failed upon isolation.
