Weather

Moderate to strong winds ATL out of the west with times of intense blowing snow. Some loading was occurring on easterlies but a lot of snow was also just being blown into oblivion. Few clouds and warm.

Snowpack

ATL surfaces ranged from hardened wind slab to sastrugi to bare ground. BTL snow surface was wet by the afternoon.

Avalanche

Observed one natural R1-D1 wind slab on a steep NE aspect ATL.
