Weather
Overcast skies with intermittent snow showers to S2 in the morning tapered off in the afternoon. Winds from the Southwest were drifting this new snow into soft drifts on cross-loaded northerlies. Warm-feeling temperatures in the 20s. At the end of the afternoon, precipitation started again later in the day and winds got blustery near sunset
Snowpack
The new snow arrived with warm temperatures and bonded well to old surfaces in the areas travelled. HN24 by early afternoon was 8", with drifted areas to 12" on easterly cross-loaded terrain. Very few cracks or collapses on E aspects, and none on southeast aspects. No evidence of SH preservation in a widespread fashion on the easterly aspects travelled On an E aspect NTL found a crust/facet combo 47 cm from the surface that propagated in an ECT with hard taps, ECTP 26.
Avalanche
A few new avalanches seen, mostly confined to Northeast aspects, and small.
