Weather
At 11,000 ft: high 20s, mostly sunny becoming cloudy through the afternoon. Wind gusts between 15-20mph at E and NE aspects BTL and NTL.
Snowpack
On E and NE aspects between 10.5-11.6k, snow depth varied between 65-95cm. Party found basal facets under soft wind slab in various locations. Observed less wind affect BTL and more NTL. Party also observed localized areas of supportive snow. Did not observe any shooting cracks during tour.
Avalanche
Party of 4 skinned up and skied 26 degree, 200 ft slope on NE aspect NTL. Did not observe any shooting cracks, hollow sounds or whoomphing on slope the first time. Party heard a large whoomph while skinning up the slope the second time around 1:25pm, transitioned, and left.
