Weather
No signs of any snow transport past or present. Winds were very light at ridgetop. In the morning, there was quite a bit of sun. When we left around noon, clouds had moved again and it was snowing lightly.
Snowpack
The new snow was light and dry until the sun came out which happened quickly this morning. This led to easterly aspects shedding most of the new snow in loose avalanches. It looked like some very thin soft slabs ran overnight during high precipitation rates. A couple avalanches were about 100 feet wide, yet they still were small and not capable of burying a person. We triggered a soft slab about 8 inches deep and 20 feet wide on a north-facing above treeline slope. It ran the length of the small path but was also small. It didn't run on the dust layer, like the easterly paths that were shedding. It seemed to have a run on maybe lower density snow beneath the warming slab above.
