Weather

Mostly sunny with intermittent sparse clouds and light westerly winds. 28F at the Moffat Tunnel parking lot at 9am. Temperatures warmed throughout the day with abundant solar radiation on exposed aspects.

Snowpack

No whoomphing, settlements or shooting cracks observed, Below 10k snow was being heavily effected by 32+ warm temps by afternoon. Exposed S and E aspects above 10k picking up a lot of solar effect with crust layer forming (after night freeze). Some recent loading observed on leeward aspects from recent mid-week westerly winds. No pits were dug.

Avalanche

A few recent mid-week avalanches from R1-R2.5 observed on E-S aspects BLT and ATL on 35+ degree slopes.
