Weather

Thin overcast clouds moving out by 12pm, warm, winds blowing 10mph above TL. Marble Peak, ENE Facing, 11,600 feet.

Snowpack

3 inch melt/freeze crust on all aspects besides N/NE. HS 220cm near treeline. Did not dig, but snow was supportive even on S aspects. Sun didn't do too much to surface snow on solar aspects early in the day.

Avalanche

Southern Flank of Marble peak, "whale tail" is a huge convexity that is often wind loaded. Faces E to N. Saw a group of 3 traverse across the middle of the slope, 1 by 1. After we descended Marble Bowl, we could see they triggered a small avalanche. E Facing, 11,000 feet.
