Weather
Warm day, +2 degrees celsius shaded at 10500' on a North aspect. Sky was clear throughout tour, no precipitation. Blowing snow was observed off the summit of Mt. Sopris with light winds from the SW.
Snowpack
Strong over weak layering persists in exposed areas above 9000'. A 1f slab still sits above loose facets near the ground. No formal snowpit was done, however, persistent slab structure was obvious with pole jabs and hand pits. HS sat 100-135cm around 10,000' N-E.
Avalanche
1 large, >TL, North facing, SS-N-R3-D2 at 11,800' below point 12,453' on Mt Sopris's east flank. 1, >TL, North East facing, SS-N-R1-D1 sits next to the larger slide. Both of these likely went 2/27-2/28/2021. 4 small, TL, South East facing, WL-N-R1-D1 slides were also noted on a SE aspect at 10,600'. Wet loose avalanches ran with warm temps this week 2/28-3/3/2021.
