HS ~50cm at 1700m, variable depth depending on terrain up to 1.3m in the alpine. The early November crust is down 60cm and the November 15 crust is down 30cm. Both crusts can be found at ridge top and facets exist between the crusts. Generally the early November crust was formed when the snowpack was below threshold; however on smooth alpine features the November 15 storm produced a natural avalanche cycle to size 2.5 on the early Nov crust. The Nov. 15 crust is supportive and is shielding skier traffic from early season hazards like rocks, stumps and downed trees. As of 24112021, 10-30cm of low density recent HST overlies the Nov 15 crust. It was reactive to skier traffic, sloughing in terrain over 35 degrees and wind slabs in immediate lee features, NE-NW.
