Tantalus provided great ski conditions. 250-300 cm snowpack with still many shallow areas and open crevasses. Alpha glacier shows major recession, is very shallow and has new huge crevasses. See image. Dione WSW face excellent upper 300m then Ricky and shallow. Serratus glacier well filled in and powder. Few natural sz1.5 from steep ridge top lee terrain. Isolated ridge top spindrift slabs (at bottom of steep couloirs). Suspect isolated suncrust will formed on solar aspects. Buried hazards below 2000m. Surprisingly little wind effect and excellent ski quality. Good bridges still forming over crevasses. Advise skiing with harnesses on! Test pit WSW 2200 below ridge top 27deg slope CTE 12 RP 45 dn X 2 on well preserved cool looking ice needles.
