Skied Jutland as a day trip from Raven lodge. Temps -4 to +2 with a thin band of cloud covering most of the meadows. Above ~1300m it was clear with unlimited visibility and nearly no wind. Snow through meadows to circlet was heavy powder in shaded/N-facing areas with a temperature/sun crust in open/S-facing areas. A skin track to circlet made for quicker travel than anticipated. We ascended via the ramps N of circlet lake through wind affected, highly variable snow. Surface conditions varied from wind-exposed ice crust from Jan 31 rain event, to pencil wind slab, to shallow soft wind slab. The only pockets of snow that showed any reactivity were tiny patches (a few square metres) of cross loaded soft wind slab that cracked easily, but didn't move. We held out some hope that the NE face of Jutland might contain a bit of sheltered, preserved snow, but ultimately it did not, so we didn't bother skiing that aspect. We enjoyed some beautiful corn snow turns down the sun-baked SE ridge of Jutland before descending back to circlet via the ramps and repeating the gleeful, rolling journey back to the road.
