Weather

Cold. Really cold. And windy. Temps, 8-12F. Winds, 20-30mph (Gusts of 40 or so). Still transporting snow across roads and out of trees.

Snowpack

Found this years' usual 4-finger over fist-hard snow below treeline. Near treeline and above treeline snowpack had growing wind slabs on the surface.

Avalanche

Saw one small avalanche first thing, assuming natural (could not see any tracks above it), at the base of the Gash run on South DIamond Peak. Estimated 50 feet wide and 100 feet tall, running to the bench.
