Weather
High thin clouds most of the day, mild temps mid-40’s, occasional gusty SW wind at ridge line. Got some blue sucker holes from time to time.
Snowpack
Interesting mix of everything. Hopefully fotos below show a better picture then words A Cat hole on an east aspect at treeline on the margin of a bigger pillow was about 18” deep. Earlier season facets/depth hoar basal layer has converted to a firm crust. Then a stack of melt freeze/wind crusts on that, all topped with faceting wind drift. Interesting stratigraphy. Will know a lot more about how it behaves by April.
