30 cm low density (new snow size 2) sits on top of the Jan 24 surface hoar (size 3-4) CTM 15 down 30 on the surface hoar (progressive compression) ECTN 20 on the surface hoar Winds were moderate to strong (S turning to SW) from Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Evidence of intense blowing snow and widespread scouring. Soft slabs forming at TL. No natural avalanche activity observed, but limited obs due to poor visibility. Suspect widespread wind slabs forming at TL and above. Terrain use - skied 35-40 degree terrain BTL. Ski cut numerous unsupported convex rolls with no result. BTL - The surface hoar is primed and ready to go, but the snow above has not formed a slab yet. TL and above the wind slabs are forming, but the surface hoar is less evident
