Strong south winds 20-30 G50, transporting snow. Temp 28F. Overcast skies.

Snowpack

Average depth of snow 160cm. Surface snow moist from warming temps. Early February melt freeze crust buried 60cm from surface and unreactive in ETC and CT tests. Buried surface hoar layer (at 90cm from surface) less well preserved than last week. Still reactive but more stubborn, CT24 sudden collapse. One notable whumphing collapse when I stepped out of skis to dig. No cracking observed.
