Weather

Snowing S1 to S5 throughout trip. Small windows of clear skies as I left Highway 82. Light winds at valley bottom gently drifting snow. Skies obscured through tour.

Snowpack

3 inches new, sitting on 5cm mfc with dust at the top of this layer. On west slopes below treeline I could coax cracking at the crust/old snow interface when I jumped with skis on. Round 4F melt forms sit below this crust, not quite moist, but can make a good snowball.
