The upper portion of Prospect Gulch has seen significant windloading over the last week. 20-30cm of partially decomposed and fragmented particles sat atop a pencil hard wind slab, which ranged in depth from 60-80cm. This wind slab was found just below the ridgeline at 12,300' - 12,200' on N through SE aspects and was sitting on faceted crystals developed during the Dec - Jan dry spell.
