Weather

Near freezing temps. Thin overcast as the sun tried to poke through but couldn't. Some heavy and moist looking clouds clinging to the side of the mountains and dropping a trace of new snow here and there.

Snowpack

Below treeline: We have a 50 cm deep snowpack. Shaded areas are facets to ground. Sunnier areas have a range of surface crusts from hardly there to supportive. Near treeline: The snowpack is highly variable. Some bullet hard and supportive wind slab, some ground and some facets to ground in sheltered areas. Generally 50-70 cm with deeper drifts.
