Weather

Broken to obscured skies as squalls rolled through. Winds from the west, transporting the new snow in gusts, but w/ little snow only light loading. Periods of S5, heavily rimed PP/grapple separated by sucker holes and sun.

Snowpack

"Styrofoam" and "well drained" are the two adjective I would use today. No evidence of recent activity, even w/ lots of roller balls and large cornice chunks falling. Many rollers running to the snirt layer.
  • No evidence of Very Wet snow in the spx. Drainage appears established
  • Dusting of new snow
  • Anywhere between 0-20 cm of snow above the Easter snirt layer. Wind soured or loaded this snow. now small to medium rounds
  • Snirt layer Wet, MFcl>MFpc, about 10 cm
  • Loosely bonded rounds below, DH that has transitioned to or towards MFcl
