near and ATL- hard to very hard slabs(s). Weak layers exist both in the upper 40cm of the snowpack, and for the bottom 30cm or so. The main issue are hard slabs in between wind scoured areas. ID'ing slabs is obvious ATL, Near TL, becoming less obvious, as the recent storm snow fills in and covers up thin areas in between hard slabs. Triggering these slabs is becoming more difficult. Likely only from shallow areas along the slab margins. If they release, they could easily step down from near surface layers, and release to the ground. Slabs 1- 6 ft deep are possible. BTL- Snowpack is very thing. Buried obstacles are beginning to become obscured. There is a mid-pack slab in windloaded areas, but the slab is softer (around 4f-1f).
