Weather

Temperatures were balmy for January 8th. Winds were light and variable. Snow was continous and picked up this afternoon.

Snowpack

No instabilities were noted on the climb. A thin melt freeze skin was present around teeline. The snowpack was 198cms and mostly cohesive with facets below 48cms. 2 compression tests were performed CT 20 and CT 21. One was a clean failure but did not move off the block. The other was ragged. The newest snow did not sluff.
