Snow depth was ~ 260 cm @ 1850 m. There was 70 cm of low density snow above a 1 cm crust. Open areas had slight wind affect with 10-15 cm soft slab at the surface. We saw no signs of recent avalanche activity and lots of old tracks in the area. We rode steep trees and had no sloughing. Just cold smoke!
