Weather
Cold overcast sky's, light snow and swirling wind. Root Trees Skinning up east ridge, once on top we used the south side and then skied due north. 8500-10k
Snowpack
6" at the bottom of La Plata Canyon with 8"-12" on top. Dust layer was apparent under the new snow
Avalanche
Small sluff slide in the trees on the North side of Root Trees. Did not run much more than 50 meters and slide on the old new snow interface. 35 degrees at 10k elevation Noticed debris off of the top of Parrot Peak on the east face. Looked to be all new snow and ran 800 vertical +/-.
