Beautiful day in the alpine yesterday, conditions were variable, dense powder on north aspects, hard supportive crust on south slopes and wet snow. Surface hoar forming on all aspects, crystal as large as 2-3cm. Lots of signs of recent avalanche activity to size 1 on east and west slopes.
