40 cm of unconsolidated powder at the foot of destiny ridge, fracture on our first test wasn't on any real layer. Amazing snow but cold and slow! Very little wind effect, only noticed one or two small isolated pockets. A small surface hoar (1-2mm) was noted in the low point between Hilda and Destiny but nowhere else. Lots of snow on what seemed to be a dense, strong midpack. CTE4 down 30 RP CTN
