Skied the North face of Fraser peak from the summit. We got an early start to get ahead of the forecast deteriorating weather. The day started out cool and clear. Ascending from the road, the East face had seen a solid crust recovery overnight making for fast travel. The morning sun softened things up enough by 1030 that ski crampons were not required to ascend the steeper upper pitches. The summit ridge was firm but manageable without boot crampons or ice axe. On the descent, we enjoyed 10-15cm of settled old storm snow that was bonding well to the underlying surfaces and provided great skiing all the way down to lake level. By the 13:00 clouds had rolled in from the south keeping daytime warming to a minimum
