Weather

High snowfall rates all day. The storm dropped around two feet of heavy dense snow by sunset. We experienced mostly light wind.

Snowpack

Very touchy, dangerous conditions developed by the afternoon. The storm snow was heavily rimed, dense, and right side up within the storm, but the two feet of new snow overwhelmed the mid-November weak layer.

Avalanche

Triggered a dozen or more avalanches on northerly-facing slopes below treeline. Some we triggered intentionally on small test slopes or from above, some we remotely triggered from a couple hundred feet away.
