Weather
Warm, windy, light snow showers, and overcast.
Snowpack
Water is slowly making its way through the snowpack, but has only percolated 30-40 cms from the surface. A firm melt-freeze crust formed overnight surface and was not breaking down this day due to mid0temperatures and wind. Digging on both west and east facing slopes around similar elevations west is further into the transition than east. This is likely due to afternoon sunshine. Dry large grain facets persisted near the ground on east and produced propagating failures on Extended Column tests. In general, we are still early in the spring transition phase in both West Lime and Brooklyn's and the snowpack appears to have a set-up for Wet Slab activity.
Avalanche
No new avalanche activity observed.
