Weather
Warm and windy day. 45F and Few clouds at 9:30 AM at the trailhead. Cloud coverage remained between Few and Scattered all day with Light winds and occasional Strong gusts from the west. 51F at the trailhead around 4:00 PM.
Snowpack
Localized collapsing on northerly slopes below the treeline with moist to wet surface snow. Cracks did not propagate more than 10 feet or so. The slab on northerly slopes is just beginning to get moist and the weak layer below is still dry and F hard. On east-facing slopes near and below the treeline the bottom of the slab is Very Wet and water is beginning to make it's way into the persistent weak layer, although the weak layer was still dry around 3:00PM today. All snow surfaces were Wet to Very Wet below the treeline by 3:00 PM.
Avalanche
