Snowpack

Traveled and dug in the snow on a NE slope in benched and rocky type of terrain below treeline. Probing along the way revealed a settled height of snow ranging from 60-80cm. The master stake at the north end currently shows 33 inches (84cm). The supportability to both skis and boot penetration had a mostly "trap door" feel as the snowpack is largely faceted nearly top to bottom. Isolating columns and performing good snowpack tests were difficult as the snowpack is ultra weak and simply just lacks a slab and scores were high to unremarkable.
