Weather

Clear, relatively calm, and warm. 15 degree temperature inversion this morning with 10F observed at the turn to Marble and 25F at the summit. The temperature quickly rose to near 40F at the summit by midday.

Snowpack

Tracked weak layers up to this point have been largely absorbed into the relatively homogeneous snowpack structure near Lone Tree Bowl. 2/3 crust / facet combo, 1/8 near surface facets etc are all interfaces at best based on the observation today. The most recent crust / facet combo was buried on 2/23 and consists of a thin melt-freeze crust down 12 cms with facets observed underneath (see profile and pictures for more info) Lower paths are starting to melt back into the anchors with notable volume loss since the large storm 2/6-2/8.
