Weather
Measured 6" of new snow (0.8" of snow water equivalent). Clear sunny skies until the afternoon. Clouds and light southwest wind moved in around 1400.
Snowpack
I dug on a NE aspect at 11,600' in an area above Gibbs Creek drainage. The height of snow was 195 cm. In an extended column test I had an ECTN 12 on the previous weekends warm up layer (down 30 cms). This is a few less taps than yesterday on a similar aspect and elevation. In compression tests I had CT 26 (2x) on the crust that formed prior to the storm on 2/14 (down 45 cms). Although, these layers were not propagating in extended column tests, the rumbling collapses throughout the day show that finding the right spot in the snowpack could make propagation possible.
