Snowpack

We found a deeper snowpack and more slopes below treeline with a mid pack slab than expected. The snowpack averaged about 1 meter below treeline on northerly slopes and was supportable on skis. Boot penetration was to the ground. We experienced many localized collapses throughout the day, all of which were confined to the immediate proximity; about 50 ft in diameter.
