Weather

Mostly calm with temps in the low 20s. Periods of S1 snowfall.

Snowpack

Very reactive snowpack. Many rollovers would fail and arrest. Cracking was primarily down into the old snow and some failures communicated hundreds of feet. We remotely triggered one avalanche on a ~32 degree SW facing slope from the runout. The slide was small but a good illustration of how sensitive the snowpack is. This slope is directly above the standard skin track from the trailhead.
