Skiing was sub-optimal. Went for a scenic look and some low angle mountain therapy. Most snow surfaces are wind hardened and/or sun effected. There is some faceted goodness on very specific sheltered aspects in the Alp/TL areas and on shady slopes BTL where dripping and bombs from trees hasn't ruined it. Needs a reset. Observed 1-3mm surface hoar growing over wind board and sastrugi at ridgecrest. Solar aspects have shed are some snow is starting to corn up. Only one week-old cornice failure observed.

Very warm sunny day. Light to moderate southerly winds at ridgecrest, calm everywhere else. No new solar activity or cornice failures observed. Sun kept otherwise crusty surfaces soft for easy travel on ridges.
