Within the last 7 days we have had storms with dominant wind directions from the north and south. First from the north and then more recently the more dominant direction. This led to wind slabs on both north and south aspects. There was a size 3.5 in the Rutherford on a north facing aspect triggered by a cornice fall due to warming temperatures on Monday. Cornice triggered an avalanche below it. It came down with cornice junks the size of small cars, and ran around 400m. We also saw several size ones and twos on south facing aspects. This led us to making terrain choices with little to no overhead hazards yesterday. it is unknown when exactly the avalanche took place we assume it was during Mondays warming period
