Avalanche
#1 N ridge of Pt 12592 (Red 2.5) at 12490', est noon, WSW aspect 32deg start zone SS-ASu-D1-R1-I We triggered this small slide skinning at the rock/snow line above a slope. #2 East side of Red 1, crown at 12100', est 2pm, ESE aspect est 35 deg start zone HS-ASu-D2-R2-O/G, est 100' wide crown, max 18" deep. It stepped down to ground in a few locations I skied first, and triggered the slope after about 5 turns. After a few more turns, a ski submerged under a small crust and I took a small fall. It was then I saw the avalanche coming down from above. I was able to ski out to the side before the debris passed by. I am glad that this was a close call and a learning experience.
