Sunny and High 20s. Light northerly winds

Snowpack

Solid consolidated base with 8-12" fresher snow on top. Wind affected areas scattered up higher and on Couloir edges. Heavy rollerball activity on southwesterly faces.

Avalanche

East facing wind slab was triggered by party member at approx. 11,700 feet near the top out of the Couloir above the 4th class moves to lookers left. Slab broke 6-8" deep and roughly 15 feet wide and 15 long. R1 with D2 consequences due to terrain. Nobody was caught as other party members were in safe zones. Parties below were immediately alerted and were safe. Slide seemed to lose momentum before steep choke section in the Couloir.
