Group 1 - Started at TH at 1300 with BRK sky, light/mod winds, no precip. As day progressed we noticed sky trending to OVC winds pick up to Mod with Gusts of Strong and S1 snowfall. Group 2 - at 1340 BRK sky, light Gusts of mod, s-1. At 1415 recorded BRK sky/ mod with gusts of Strong/ s-1

Snowpack

Group 1 - Dug snowpit at ESE aspect at 11,680ft. Average 90cm HS. Found about 15-20cm of new snow on top of dense pencil to knife hard mid pack slab of about 10-15 cm thickness. Around 15-20cm of 4F weaker snow underneath the slab. CTMSP, CTVSP, CTHSC all three tests around 50cm down. CTHSP broke near the ground. Group 2 - Dug snowpit on South aspect at 11,800ft. HS 131cm. Had whumpf before dug pit. Found 11cm thick pencil hard layer 80cm down with a 20cm thick 1F weaker layer below. Also found 4F hard depth hoar below a 20cm pencil hard layer near the ground. CTESP down 60cm. Significant spacial variability from wind transport.
