Weather

Very windy in the morning, died off around noon. Temps stayed in teens at 10,000’. New snow on and off throughout afternoon, mostly 0.5” per hour rate when snowing.

Snowpack

HN - 25-30cm since yesterday at noon. South facing, found 10-15cm 4F Slab on top of suncrust, approx 40cm below surface. Sheared easy in hand shears. Northeast facing at 10,000’, HS 160cm, found interfaces at 30 and 40cm below surface which did not propagate in ECT. Had consistent results in 2 pits with ECT25P on large basal facets 10cm above ground. Spooky.

Avalanche

1. Wind slab, NW side of Braddock Peak, approx 11,000, est 150yrds wide. 2. Wind Slab below cornice on east side Seven Utes Mtn, approx 11,000ft, est 100 yards wide.
