175" HS at 12,300 lower on ridge. SE CT-2 at 12cm CT 22 BRK at 65CM ECT-N Pit and test by my party a few hours before seperate party that triggerd avalanche.
Avalanche
Peak One, Tenmile Range, SSE 150 degrees, 12,500' 12"-16" crown. 250' wide, 800' long. Debris pile 300' wide. up to 20' deep in prominant terrain trap feature. Avalanche steped down into deeper layers, and ran over many small cliffs, rocks and through scattered, small alpine trees. --- I noticed this avalanche at about 12:55. I suspect about 5-10 minutes after it was triggered. I knew there was a party of two ascending the East ridge as we had met them at TH and I saw them on ridge 15 minutes earlier. I then witnessed the lone snoboarder ride off the summit down the SE face. Yes, after this avalanche they rode the SE face off the summit. Track in photo. I did not think anyone was caught, but called it in and explained. I then descended and skinned to the debris pile where I met the skier who triggered the slide. I asked him and his partner to help me search just to be certain. The only signal was for a moment from a rescuer in the Flight For Life while hovering. My Barrryvox S read 66 meters and was lost when we sent them off.
