Conditions report

Location
A2 and Athabasca ramp

We tried for A2 today and bailed early and low at the Boundary glacier tongue. Heavy wind transport and new snow, heavy spindrift, and cornices on Boundary ridge helped with the decision. At 2350 there was 15cm of new snow over a 2cm unssuportive moist crust, sitting on isothermal snow. HS 240cm at glacier tongue.
We saw debris from a wet loose size 2.5-3, not very old, coming from Hilda peak.
Athabasca had a new slide from today below Silverhorn.
In general, unsettled conditions, windy, new snow every day.
