Snowpack
In sheltered areas, southerlies were lacking the snow to be skiable, while N-E aspects held ~70-100cm of snow, with a midpack slab on top of basal facets. The midpack slab was present in specific terrain features, and was not universal. In exposed areas on the easterly side of the compass, we found a deep snowpack (2m+ in banana bowls, 2-3m+ on the DT apron) composed of mostly P hard windboard. Surface conditions varied from wind pressed powder, to avalanche debris, to variable windboard, to shiny, sun affected melt/freeze snow.
